| Kitchen scale with a T-Perch on it should do the trick. |

| Kitchen scale with anything the bird can perch on -- I use a food cup for Scooter, or just have him step onto the scale. You need a decent kitchen scale which weighs in grams and it is helpful if it has a tare function to subtract out the weight of the perch if you use one. |

| This is the one I've got: Here's the link -->Weighs in Gm, Kg, Lb, Oz I've covered the buttons and the part they stand on with plastic wrap. Since I stick them on every morning before they eat, they've all learned that they have to stand on the scale until I pick them up. ... Even Posei the hyper-wacko-nutso-can't-be-still lovebird. (It just took him longer than the rest! LOL!) I put him on the scale and corral him with my hands until he's still and I can tell what his weight is. It only took him a week of consistent weights to figure out the sooner he got still the sooner he got off! LOL! Good luck! _________________

I just got this in the mail. It's small but works well, perfect size for a gcc or smaller. Plus inexpensive. Rainbow is officially 64 grams thanks for the link! |

| It could be I guess. How about this? How do you weigh a parakeet? Take the entire cage complete with parakeet and place on the scale. Record the weight. Then release the parakeet. Record the weight of the cage by itself. Subtract from initial recording. Spend the rest of your day trying to get the parakeet to go back into his cage. |
